Quality

The name of SDL has become synonymous with quality in the field of platinum resistance detectors (Pt100's), and there are a number of ways in which this is evident;-

CLOSE INTERCHANGEABILITY

SDL offers, as standard, interchangeability tolerances substantially better than defined by all of the relevant International Standards e.g. EN 60751;1996

In practical terms, this means that when using SDL elements at elevated temperatures, the variability (interchangeability) between any elements of the same tolerance rating will be considerably less than other elements conforming to the equivalent international standard.

This is achieved through very close control of the quality of the platinum materials used, making use of the company's highly accredited laboratory, in addition to the application of stringent quality controls at every stage of production.

Detectors are available in matched pairs to further reduce the interchangeability between any group of detectors, in any given tolerance Band.

As well as its standard range of 5 SDL Bands, offering conformity from DIN Class B to 1/10th DIN, the company is able to supply without difficulty, detectors to even closer tolerances, e.g. 1/20th DIN.
