Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometers (SPRT's)
Complementing it’s range of ceramic wire wound platinum resistance detectors, RTD’s for industrial use, and Calibration facility, SDL also manufacture a range of SPRT’s for use as primary/secondary or industrial semi standard usage.
Primary/Secondary Thermometers.
Model ‘Q25’ thermometers.
The 25.5Ω Model ‘Q’ thermometer is designed for precise temperature measurement as a Primary Standard over the range –200/650ºC in a Calibration Laboratory.
Model ‘Q100’ thermometers.
The Model ‘Q100’ thermometer is designed for precise temperature measurement as a Primary Standard over the range –200/650ºC in a Calibration Laboratory where a value of 100Ω is required.
Model ‘S’ thermometers.
The Model ‘Q’ thermometers is designed for precise temperature measurement as a Secondary Standard, over the range –100/450ºC in a Calibration Laboratory. This is a steel bodied thermometer.
Industrial (Working) Standard Thermometers
SDL offers 2 thermometers for use as working standards. These units are suitable for everyday use for on site calibration work etc.
| Model | Temperature range | Stability over range |
| SV1915 | -50/+250ºC | ±25mK |
| SV1929 | -70/450ºC | ±35mK |
If required, any of Thermometers can be supplied with a UKAS Calibration Certificate from SDL’s in house UKAS Laboratory. The Laboratory is accredited to UKAS,(Calibration No. 0171) for the measurement of Resistance Thermometers, Electronic measurement systems, and Temperature transmitters -85°C/650°C.
Additionally its offers Fixed Point Calibrations at:
Triple Point of Water, Ethylene carbonate Point, Freezing point of Tin, Freezing Point of Zinc
The laboratory offers some of the lowest possible measurement uncertainties, down to ±0.6mK, as shown on the attached UKAS Uncertainty schedule
