We manufacture Stator Winding sensors that monitor insulation temperatures between stator winding parts and provide continuous protection for motors and generators. Temperature sensors are available as RTDs or Thermocouples and can be designed and manufactured with dimensions to fit any machine.
Standard stator winding sensors are supplied in insulation classes F And H (F=155°C, H=180°C) and also available Ex & IECEX certified.
Commonly used in electric motors and generators, sensors monitor temperatures continuously along the length of the slot using an average temperature method. We provide turnkey design, manufacturing and calibration solutions to suit the application type and requirements.
Our highly experienced technicians can advise you on the best approaches for the most demanding of applications.
Stator Winding is a simplex or duplex PT100 sensing element (100Ω at 0°C) housed in a metal probe.
CONFIGURATION | A number of different lengths and styles of probes are available for different temperature measurement applications (See Diagram) |
CONNECTIONS | Connections are made via a flying lead housed in conduit, terminals on a ceramic block, terminals within a metal/plastic terminal housing or plug/socket. |
APPROVAL | Ex and IECEx Approved. |
CABLE LENGTH | Maximum 15 Metres. |

Stator winding RTDs enable continuous temperature monitoring and provide early warning of over-heating. Commonly used in electric motors, they are most often inserted between the coils in the stator of the motor. These types of slot sensors are also used to measure winding temperature in generators.
Our clients include OEMs, engine component manufacturers and companies producing pump and compression equipment.
