Sensing Devices has the experience and technical expertise to design and manufacture precise and repeatable temperature measurement sensors for a wide range of industrial and commercial tasks.
A leader in the field of resistance thermometry, we manufacture detectors, RTDs and SPRTS
Our in-house Calibration Laboratory that is UKAS accredited (Calibration No. 0171)
Our sensing devices and RTDs are used across the globe in industrial processes and critical systems
We manufacture an extensive range of PT100 wire-wound detectors to recognised international specifications. Our ceramic wire-would detectors are hand-manufactured to offer long term stability across a wide range of temperatures. Sensors can be manufactured to suit specific requirements.
We design and manufacture RTDs for specialised applications. These include high-precision sensors for the pharmaceutical industry and high-reliability RTDs for large electric motors and generator applications. Our RTDs are built to meet the most demanding industrial applications and for use in safety-critical areas such as the nuclear industry.
We manufacture Ex and IECEX certified RTDs to Ex ia, Ex e and Ex d standards
We are specialist manufacturers of a range of SPRTs for use in primary/secondary or industrial semi-standard applications. This includes Model S and Model Q Precision Platinum Resistance Thermometers that are made from reference-grade wound platinum wire connected by platinum lead wires.
Our Stator Winding Temperature Sensors use the average temperature method to monitor temperatures continuously along the length of the slot. Commonly used in electric motors and generators, our turnkey solutions are designed to suit the application type and requirements.
We can manufacture Ex and IECEX certified stator sensors to Ex ia, Ex e and Ex d standards
We operate an in-house Calibration Laboratory that has been UKAS accredited since 1987 for the measurement of a wide range of temperature sensing devices. The importance of being able to calibrate temperature and resistance equipment in-house to the highest possible levels is key to our quality and manufacturing processes.
